The overseer
This is a collagraph print created from en plein air drawings made during April in the beautiful gardens at Great Dixter where I am a volunteer Garden Steward. The print is an example of work progressed from Dixter diaries sketchbook drawings and was printed during my Dumfries House print residency.
Day of the Dead selfie
I'm excited about exploring screen printing as a medium after being awarded the inaugural Sonsoles Print Studio Prize. The design uses my Catrina selfie digital drawing merged with a photo I'd taken of the The Disk of Mictlāntēcutli (also known as the Disk of Death) at the National Museum of Anthropology, Mexico City (that had wowed us when we visited).
