Wish you were here? Kos 2025
We've been taking a much needed break at a Marmari beach hotel in Kos, with time to make some drawings to post as digital postcards.
These digital postcards were made on my iPhone with Pocket @procreate and on my @apple iPad Air with an Apple Pencil.

From a fish restaurant on a trip to Kos Town I draw families bathing in the arc of the beach which looks out to Turkey.

In the sand dune garden of the hotel the bunny tails of the feathertop grass are a soft contrast to the spiky exotic palms by the pool. A woman dips her toe into the water, whilst on the beach a beautiful man rides his horse through the seawater like a scene from a movie.

I'm melding digital with pencil drawings under the cover of a beach towel to try to block out the gloriously warm and bright sunlight. In the evening we need hoodies to keep out the cooler night air.

On our last day the rain begins to fall on the surface of the empty pool signalling it's time to leave for home and that winter is coming.
